For those of you who enjoy black powder and Italian reproductions such as Uberti or Pedersoli revolvers and rifles you sometimes want to know the manufacturing date of your gun. This can be important because there are variations in the parts depending on the dates (mostly the nipples).
If you don’t have the original paperwork there is a simple way to know: There is a marking on the frame to identify the date.
Look for a marking similar to this on the frame:
